I read this book a long time ago. I remember being obsessed with it. However, due to my younger age, I never got my hands on the sequel. Not too long ago, I heard that another book in the series had come out, and I asked myself, 'Why not give it another go'
Now, I went into the book calmly, remembering that I was younger and that I may have overreacted about how the book was. However, around page three, I was hooked all over again.
The plot is gripping. You're thrown right into the action, smack into the climax -then, they step back and tell the tale. Even though its roots are cliché, the story branches out into all new concepts and ideas.
Whit and Wisty, aka, Witch and Wizard... These two are great main characters. They're accurate to their time, and not to mention, extremely relatable. Occasionally, I got their two points of view mixed up... but hey, they're siblings, what do you expect
I could go on and on, but I want someone reading the review to go into the book as blindly as I did when I was younger. Please, please, PLEASE give this book a try!
