I just can't stop loving this book. I read it in about an hour or so, while on my commute. Ashok Banker is hands down the best mythological fiction writer ever. The others don't even compare to his work.
I have been pretty miffed that his portrayal of the brotherhood between Krishna and Balarama has been limited in the previous books but he has set the record straight here. Boy does he deliver. The words fly out like the attacks the two warriors hurl at poor Jarasandha's army. Their gall and Jarasandha's plot are the highlights of this book. I love it.
