Jennifer Lynn Barnes - The Fixer

Review :

Uh... I loved the personality of the protagonist. Very endearing and heartwarming, her relationship with her Grandfather. Touching and rare in this crazy world.

I sounded sure because I was sure. I didn't know how I knew, but I did. (c)

It was such a small thing-a tiny thing, really-to tell someone about myself, but the fact that I'd told Ivy anything felt like losing a protective layer of skin. (c)

When I was thirteen, I would have given anything for this Ivy. For after-school snacks and a bedroom in this house. For the phone to ring more than three times a year. I would have poured my heart out to her. I would have asked her everything I wanted to know. (c)

The teacher was flummoxed. (c)

"Stay off the roof," he ordered. Then he paused. "Stay off all the roofs."
The fact that he felt he had to make that clarification told me a great deal about Asher Rhodes. (c)

"If it isn't my favorite little psychopath. (c)

"I have a passing fondness for explosions."
That was concerning on so many levels. (c)
Q:
"I see you're the strong and silent type," Asher said sagely. "I never shut up, so we're going to get along smashingly." (c)

"Go away."
"You say 'go away', I hear 'wreak havoc by my side.' " (c)
